Joe Cullen maintained his maiden European Tour title to conquer Michael van Gerwen 8-5 in the European Darts Matchplay in Mannheim on Sunday night.
As he overcame World Champion Van Gerwen using a positive and clinical revealing the Bradford genius claimed that the name of his profession in vibrant style.
Having never won past the semi-finals on the European Tour, Cullen saw Glen Durrant, William O’Connor and James Wade off to reserve his spot on Sunday in the decider at the Maimarkthalle.
