Argentina legend Diego Maradona was named manager of Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata – the coaching job in his homeland.
Even the 58-year-old, Argentina’s 1986 World Cup-winning captain, takes charge until the end of the season.
Gimnasia – nicknamed El Lobo, which means’the Wolf’ – are at underside of the Primera Division.
“Star of world football Diego Maradona has ever signed his name also also can be the new trainer of Gimnasia,” the team said.
Maradona, who shared Fifa’s Player of the 20th-century award with Brazilian Pele that is great, takes.
He left his previous managerial job of Mexico second division outfit Dorados de Sinaloa in June, after failing to secure promotion into the top flight citing problems with his health.
“Ultimately it is now official,” Maradona composed on Instagram. “I am quite content to be the new trainer of Gimnasia.
“I want to thank the president Gabriel Pellegrino for this opportunity and say to all of the fans that we are going to work together with our hearts and souls for El Lobo.”
The new character of maradona is his club management job; he was in charge of the team for two years from 2008, shooting them.
