KLM Open: Patrick Reed, Sergio Garcia headline Amsterdam field

Patrick Reed believes his game is at a place that is great as he calls for his first victory on European soil.
The Masters champion makes his second three appearances in as many weeks about the Tour, with Reed looking to build on a tied-36th finish in the Porsche European Open.
Reed was handed an Honorary Life Membership from the Union in February, climb the Race to Dubai positions before a busy end up and together with the 29-year-old looking to reestablish in Amsterdam.
“It [his game] is still also trending,” Reed stated. “I really feel as if I’ve been playing some solid golf here recently and I feel that this year was a significant learning experience for me after winning the previous calendar year.
“That having been said, I feel that is the match where it needs to be, continue on to grind and keep to go out there and take it daily and try and have opportunities to win Sunday.
“I shall play this week, so I’m playing next week as well then I will go home for a couple of weeks. I have three with the PGA Tour, in South Korea and China.
“Hopefully then Dubai then Hong Kong, so I am not quitting anytime soon. I’m going to be on the street quite a bit and I’ll look forward to it and end off the calendar year ”
Reed plays Thomas Pieters and Matt Wallace for the first two rounds, while Sergio Garcia aims to combine the likes of Seve Ballesteros and Jos?? Mar??a Olaz??bal as Spanish winners of the event.
“There’s a whole lot of Spanish background with the case and hopefully we’ll have a good solid week and will attempt to have a fantastic chance of winning on Sunday,” Garcia said.
“When I’ve a good week to move up the Hurry to Dubai Rankings which would be a nice thing to do, therefore it is but one of the goals. I feel pretty good.
“I played fairly well for the large part in Crans, so hopefully we could continue on that identical line and maintain the momentum moving.”
