Salford Red Devils’ Lee Mossop claims their game against Wigan Warriors at the Super League play-offs is your”best match” for them.
Many tipped Salford for relegation but, after a successful season under the guidance of coach Ian Watsonthey finished third and secured their spot.
Prop Mossop, who proceeded into the Red Devils out of Wigan, states it’s the match for them since they look to create the semi-finals.
He explained:”We are full of confidence in the minute. This week we have got and it’s the ideal match for us.
“They’ve been here every single year, they’re controlling winners, and they know how to win those games. It will give us a great idea of where we’re at.
“Although we’re not disrespecting them, we’re very confident going up from them.”
Until it had been verified on Friday with a narrow victory against Hull, A win against Leeds Rhinos a couple of weeks ago all-but confirmed their place in the play-offs.
They have and are currently targeting the Grand Final.
Mossop stated:”We are obviously very happy where we are but not happy enough nonetheless. We wish to keep going into these play-offs and see where it takes us.
“In the start of the seasonwe were getting beat by two points, four points, and we just couldn’t put our finger on why.
“We thought that when we put our aims we can challenge many teams but it just was not happening.
“Fortunately enough, we have managed to flip it about. We are on a run and, with every game, we’re getting a growing number of confidence.
“In the adversity we’ve faced this year, the small squad we had, along with the fiscal things behind the scenes – it is all contributing to this fairytale ending.”
